johnson & johnson
Worksmart supported the large-scale consolidation of four Johnson & Johnson campuses into a single, unified workplace environment spanning seven Irvine Company buildings.
The multi-building program included extensive office, laboratory, and research and development renovations designed around an activity-based working model that provided employees with a variety of environments for focused work, collaboration, and team engagement.
Specialized R&D spaces required significant infrastructure improvements, including new HVAC equipment and supporting building systems tailored to the technical requirements of the laboratories.
Dedicated training centers were also incorporated throughout the campus to support employee onboarding, education, and continued workforce development.
With J&J leadership requiring facilities to remain operational, Worksmart carefully sequenced construction across occupied buildings, coordinating multiple phases to minimize disruption to employees and ongoing business activities.
The broader campus transformation also included exterior façade improvements, creating a refreshed and cohesive identity across the seven-building environment.
Through comprehensive master planning, technical coordination, and phased construction execution, Worksmart helped deliver a modernized campus capable of supporting J&J's workplace, research, and operational needs.
